Governors act as Board of Directors, working with the head to make decisions about how the school is run. They meet several times during the year as a whole group and in sub-groups with specific responsibilities.
Amongst other things they help to:
- Manage the budget
- Monitor the curriculum
- Appoint staff
- Set standards of behaviour
- Maintain the buildings and premises
