Assessment
We keep records of your child’s level of achievements and current targets as they progress throughout the school and are glad to share these with you at any time. We put children who fall below their potential on intervention programmes to help them to catch up.
We send out interim reports at the end of each term (i.e. 6 times per year) which include up-to-date test scores. In addition to this each parent is given a copy of our assessment timetable and invited to parent consultation afternoons. Parents are very welcome to come in at any time to discuss their child’s progress, just make an appointment with your child’s class teacher. Key Stage 2 performance tables involve the publication of results for each of the three core subjects, Maths, English and Science. 2007 - We are pleased to say that in the latest league tables Falconer’s Hill was the top Daventry School in both average point score (28.3) and value added score (100.8). 2008 - You may have heard media reports around the 2008 SATs marking. Most papers were returned to us, Maths and Science papers were all returned marked correctly. We have returned some of our English writing papers for re-marking, but have already identified raising levels in writing as a whole school issue for the coming year.
